We had proof of how much Elettromedia has invested over the years in research and innovation: the paper “Wave Digital Modeling of Nonlinear Loudspeaker Drivers” has been listed on the top 10 papers selected by the AES (Audio Engineering Society) in its 2023 spring convention.

Loudspeaker driver models are widely adopted in the industry and academia for various applications ranging from loudspeaker design and engineering to loudspeaker system control through digital signal processing. This contribution describes a modeling approach based on Wave Digital Filters that allows us to simulate the loudspeaker driver’s large signal performance. The proposed approach features the nonlinear loudspeaker driver’s efficient and explicit discrete-time realization. Simulations with results perfectly prove the accuracy of the proposed approach.
